Reiki is a natural form of on hands-on healing discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 1800s who codified it as a system of healing that is now widely used today. Reiki utilizes what is known as universal life source energy to rebalance the body, mind, and emotions.
Reiki is done lying down or sitting in a chair. The Reiki practitioner places his/her hands on or hovers them over the body of the person receiving Reiki. The energy flows through the body’s meridians or pathways to help open any blockages which may be restricting the body’s natural flow of Chi and homeostasis.
Reiki training and certifications are provided to individuals who are seeking ways to help facilitate healing for others. These levels of training prepare individuals to become Reiki practitioners and to offer both individual and group sessions.
Reiki levels I, II, and III trainings are offered. Training consists of intensive weekends, in-depth readings, and 21-day home practices. To qualify for training and certification, you must already have an existing spiritual daily practice.
Reiki Level I Training
First-degree training is geared towards building a foundation for students to begin the journey of practicing a healing art. In this training, students will explore:
- The history of Reiki
- Energy anatomy
- Physical anatomy

- How to conduct full individual healing sessions
After three full days of training, students receive the 1st Reiki attunement, have a 21-day home practice with various readings, and receive a Reiki level I certification.
